Scarborough—1850’s (Pompey (b:1829) - moved to IL then IW)
Scarbrough– 1750’s (Robert Scarborough (b:1708) moved to WV-TN) Note: W.V. was part of Virginia Scarbrough– 1850’s (Samuel Scarborough (b:1807) moved to IN) Scarbrough– 1860’s (Stephen B. Scarborough (b:1835) moved to IN)

There are at least five unrelated Scarb(o)rough lines in America. 1.) 1682 - Bucks CO, PA (my line) They migrated primary to MD, VA (now WV), TN, KY, AR, TX, MO. 2.) 1620s - VA (this line is Edmund Scarborough) migrated primary to GA, MS, NC, TX, CA. 3.) 1770’s—VA (James Scarbrough b:1 Sep 1750) family migrated to KY. 4.) A fourth line landed in Canada in 1730s and migrated to MD. 5.) Richard Scarbrough landed in Canada about 1888 and migrated southward. Sorry, I will only have information on the Bucks CO, PA line. |
